25 Years of Ziegrey Oris Balota: Ten Thousand Fourteen

Hindi sa pagmamayabang pero nakaabot na po tayo ng 10,014 views (as of today).

I never imagined that my blogsite would have this number of views from the people I haven't seen nor touched nor talked to. Ang gusto ko lang naman ay magsulat ng kung anong maisip ko, at hindi ko lubusan maisip na it would reach in this kind of number. A very good birthday gift for me.

Few days from now, malapit na ako sa tinatawag kong "marrying age" na 25. Of course, I shouldn't brand the number to be the most fitted age for marrying. A friend of mine have told me that I shouldn't be very excited and pushy.

I need to understand because just like me, they are also as busy as a bee. I firmly believe that after these all, we will go back to our normal ways of chatting and saying "hi" and "hellos." Wala lang, minsan nakakamiss din ang mga bonding moments naming magkakaibigan.

For the next two weeks, we will have long weekends. Beginning today, August 18 up to August 21 and again on August 25 to August 27. But since I started working and feeling all of the hardships and stress, I truly say that kapag Friday, talagang T.G.I.F. at excited na kaming mag-Sabado. Hindi na ako nalulungkot kapag weekend, lalo akong natutuwa dahil makakapagpahinga!

Ngayong birthday month ko, nagkaroon ng isang malungkot na pangyayari sa ating bansa, and that is the non-stop rains courtesy of the hanging habagat. May nakita akong isang post sa Facebook during the times of the monsoon rains na mahiya naman raw siya kay Ondoy dahil si Ondoy ay bagyo, siya habagat lang kung makapagpaulan! Pero ang pinakagusto kong post na nakita ko ay yung mga artworks ng ilang mga Filipino artists like this one in picture. And yes, it's really true. The Filipino spirit is waterproof, whether it's a typhoon or just a simple torrential rain, you're just water, we are Filipinos. There are so many people; those who are in great finances helped those who are in great need. Isa lang ang masasabi ko, wala pa rin tatalo sa bayanihan ng mga Filipino that even the English language doesn't have the direct translation for it!

The London 2012 is already finished, sadly. Pinagkahintay-hintay ko talaga ito dahil for the third time, the city of London will host the grandest sporting event in the world. Last July 27, gumising talaga ako ng pagkaaga-aga (2:30 am) para lamang hintayin ang opening ceremonies (8 hours ang interval between the local time of London and Manila, so 7:00 pm ang start nila doon). Yun pala hindi 7:00 pm but 9:00 pm ang simula so I needed to wait for one hour. For the opening ceremonies, it was way too simple than with Beijing. Yes, they've gathered some important British personalities like David Beckham, Rowan Atkinson, J.K. Rowling, Daniel Craig and Sir Paul McCartney. For the closing ceremonies, sila na ang nagpa-concert ng libre (yata) together with One Direction, Spice Girls, Oasis (?), Take That, Jessie J. and the Queen (band!). But the whole sporting event is really fantastic, hats off kaming lahat. Sadly, no Filipino athlete was able to bring home even a single bronze medal. Tsk...

That's it brouhaha fans (may ganoon?). I may not have the best and even the most famous blogsite but in my heart, everything is okay here!

Thank you for making the views in my blogpost more than 10,000. I guarantee you to have many more writings and interesting stories here. See you in my 25th on the 31st!

Toodles!!!
