At 26, I've Realized That...

The first quarter of my life is already done. My first 25 years of my life became a whirlwind, a roller-coaster, a so-called topsy-turvy kind of adventure. I've experienced great things, either the highest or the lowest, failures and successes, It was indeed a life well-lived, well if I would tell it, it really was!

I think it was a really good thing to say that I really need to act maturely enough. Facing trials in life is not new to me. There were even moments that I wanted to stop (if you know what I mean) because trials that I received were like raindrops, non-stop. But if I have done that, I am the loser because I quit.

Yes, 25 years have passed and I asked myself, did I learn from those years of my life? Probably not because since then, I am like this. It's time for me to have some realizations in life in which they could be the greatest lessons I never knew I already got it.

1. That dreams really come true if you are doing it - I was young when I dreamt of being a teacher because of a game, my little friends and I were playing. When I went to college, my dream was about to happen and in 2009, I became a full-fledged teacher. Though I had bumps and bruises along the way, it didn't bother me to push through. This is what I always keep in my mind: "Once a teacher, always a teacher!" The dream of which studying in my dream university became true just this year. It was a part of my plan to pursue my studies again but this time, and wholeheartedly in the school in which I've been wanting to go to. The night when I saw the very good news that I was accepted in my chosen program is indeed "a dream turned into a reality." So far, I am doing great. A bit disappointing in some cases but having this dream not only in front of you but already have in you is a spectacle in my life!

2. That I am gaining weight - And it was a no joke at all. Maybe because of stress which I always have in my present work, to bust it down is to have a "stress eating method." I always count on my dear friends to come with me eating out just to release the stress I had on that day. Turns out that it was a no joke, really, at all! I always command myself that I need to work on it, by means of exercising, eating small amount of food and thinking ahead without stress, but I can't and I don't. Look at the picture, it seems that almost 50% of the entire picture is enveloped by my body. It's time for me to wake up that it is really scary and unhealthy to be an obese person.

3. That I forgot to make myself happy - And it is because I am dedicating my happiness to other people. Just to make other people happy, I create jokes to be laughed about. I also make a very nice move just to make some people happy like surprises on their birthdays, and other things. I don't know if it is a disease or whatever but by trying to make my dear friends, or loved ones be happy, I'll do it to them 100%. Apparently, it was my own happiness which I forgot to do. I guess the reason why I'm getting a lot of weight is because eating is my happiness. Though there's nothing wrong with it but if it is too much, it is too much. I'm still thinking of other things, or probably an event in my life that will make me feel happy. If that so, when will that happen?

4. That I never had a vacation and I don't even know what vacation is - I thought this year was my very first time to experience air travel and going to one of the best destinations here in the Philippines but it was not pushed. My dream vacation is to go to a place which no one was unable to find and stay. I wish of going to a fine sand beach, with a perfect of the sunset and a perfect spot for beach party at night. With or without booze, I can have a happy time, thus my perfect vacation. Overseas, I really wanted to go first in Hong Kong to experience world-class shopping then going to Europe to visit beautiful and historical places like the Vatican, Paris and London.

5. That my students love me - It was a beautiful experience of giving me a surprise birthday party by my loving Grade 9 - Newton. First thing in the morning, my Grade 9 - Dalton sang to me their version of the birthday song, starting with a knock-knock joke. Followed by my another Grade 9 - Einstein, which they gave me another knock-knock joke. And then my Grade 9 - Newton, put a drama on their surprise to me, telling that something had happened in our room. Turns out, an unforgettable surprise treat from them. Even though I give them a snob, or I give them hard activities (which in return, they do it nicely), or even shouting at them, my Grade 9 students still love me!

6. That my patience can be really tested and be limited (at times) - I just don't know but my patience has a mind on its own. Or maybe it just choose a person on when it will be shortened. A recent example of testing of patience happened during one of my classes. My nerves came up to its boiling point to this person that without any hesitations, I touched him badly. I am too apologetic for it, but I can't help it. The student is disrespectful, do you think you will just stand there doing nothing? I am supposedly the master inside of the classroom but without respect showing towards me, my patience would really be tested and shortened. And it happened during the most important event of my life. I hate them! Up until eternity! They put me into shame because it was my impatience gone wrong.

7. That there are moments that you've been taken for granted - This might be a very critical one but I've been into a situation that I really felt no importance in friendship. I don't want to put into words why did I feel that but I guess because of me, being very generous and kind, I am always being victimized by it. I still don't know if you still remember but you don't even dare to ask how am I doing? It was really a very bad experience especially to some people who you've been friends. The best thing to do: just forget them because they don't even bother to look back.

8. That laughing is the best medicine, no doctor's prescription needed - Whenever I am with my friends, when my mother cracks joke to us, when I watch Vice Ganda's videos and films, Mr. Bean's timeless tales, and my recent addiction to Ihaw Na of Jayson Gainza and when I listen to my students' wacky banters, I laugh. I laugh because there are funny antics being thrown. I laugh because it gives me a beautiful mindset. I laugh because I love to laugh. It gives me relaxation, no doubt about it. But laughing is not yet medically and scientifically proven to medicate your ailments. Just try to laugh non-stop, you'll surely ease the pain you have.

9. That Star Cinema is indeed the country's biggest film production outfit - It really is one of my dilemmas but no doubt, Star Cinema brings out the best stories in whatever genre. It seems that they are the only film production outfit in the Philippines, which in one month, they put out two to three films. Good thing that they are now producing films not in terms of box-office returns but according to their magical stories. These stories will surely be remembered by people from generations to generations. Bet you, their films will be considered new classics in Philippine cinema!

10. That I have the versatility in language, meaning whether in English or in Filipino - It was my first year teaching regular Filipino and this time, in high school. Admittedly, I'm having a hard time especially teaching Noli Me Tangere which hardcore Filipino is mentioned in every lines. That's why I don't know if my students are learning from me. And I don't know if I am doing my best in teaching Filipino to my students. But as I go along, I see its importance and its beauty. Importance in a sense that it is our language that we need to prosper and being adamant in different settings and beauty because of its colorful vocabularies, which is really good to listen and to study deeply. August is considered "Buwan ng Wika." Though our school wasn't able to celebrate it, we truly felt the presence of the distinguishing ideals of the Filipino language. I am reading Noli Me Tangere, but I apologize I am reading its English version.

11. That time is truly gold - I do have issues regarding time management. The recent vacation I had was only dedicated with watching TV, Facebook, Twitter and other forms of the Internet. At the same time, I am eating. Not knowing that I am wasting my time doing nothing instead of finishing my tasks. Just like now, I am procrastinating, quickly finishing my critique and research paper. The result, half-baked kind of work. When it comes to procrastinating, or cramming during studies, I am truly one of the followers of it. It was my attitude. Maybe it is time for me to look on time more valuable than before. It is truly a very golden treasure that is hard to harvest or to find. Gradually, I am going to correct my time management so that stress will not followed through.

12. That the answer to the question "Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?" is still unresolved - I have crushes before in which it turns to be nothing. And yes, I am one of the "kabataang Pinoys" which I look at the idea of crush as the idea of love and thereafter. It really breaks my heart when I never see my crushes. It really stoops my pride every time I see my crush together with another person (a girl, or a guy?). The title suggests, why does my crush doesn't have any crush on me? There are lots of answers but I still don't know the perfect one, or the suited one. Maybe, it is not for me. Or it is really for me, but fate have said, it's time for them to settle. That leads me to being alone. Now the question is, "bakit hindi ka crush ng crush mo?" Simple answer (or a hypothetical answer, if that may sense), "Eh hindi, eh!" "Ganoon talaga eh!"

13. That being with friends on a roadtrip is priceless! - It is an exciting journey of having roadtrips with your friends. I'm not saying it's not okay to have your family in your journey but I guess, having fun with your friends inside the car is truly an understatement. As much as we wanted to have one huge car that can fit ten or twelve people, we can. We can actually use bus or a coaster so that all of us are in one vehicle. Then the focal point or the highlight of the trip, nonsense and make-sense talks, opinions, funny antics and food! With my dear friends, it will never be out of style.

14. That fashion is meant for comfort before style - I just don't understand why this principle in fashion design is not sometimes being followed by world-renowned fashion designers. Just for the sake of artistic sense, they are creating wardrobe hardly understood by almost all. I can say that my fashion sense can be a bit underdog or even low-leveled, but as far as my background with fashion is concerned, I can have a fashionista in my heart and in my soul. If you'll ask me how do I wear such fabrics, I just go for the comfort and not for style. Mine can be a classic taste, since nothing beats it. Or somehow, I thought it was classic, but for others, it was truly a head-turning one.

15. That it's all up to you if you want to have a full-time job or to be a part-time student - I've mentioned being a teacher, being a student, and being a procrastinator. Since this was my first term in DLSU, forgive me but it really gave me a crazy-like movements in school and in the university. I don't know what to start, my works being a teacher or my works being a student? Again, as what I've mentioned, it's a matter of time management.

16. That the love story of Eric and Vincent should be emulated not by gay couples but by couples - It is not always promiscuity that gay couples are known for. It is not always about rated SPG, which is written on the lower right of your TV screen when you watch the now-classic My Husband's Lover on GMA 7. I can see the beautiful ending of their love story, but I don't know the other twists and turns of the story. Eric and Vincent, though both men can still feel love because of one reason: they are humans! They are allowed, without any gag orders or temporary restraining order, to loved and be loved. They are just being true to themselves and they are the best examples of showing what love is. I truly believe that love should not be according to any gender. Just show love, as simple as that!

17. That looks are part of personality - Truly, beauty is only skin deep. What's essential in beauty is inside of the heart. I guess that it's not only about the personality of a person, one person is attracted for but also the outside compliments. How can you have work if you're not presentable enough to your interviewer or to your future employer? How can you have friends if you look disgusted? How can you have self-confidence if you're not freshening up? They say looks can be deceiving, but take it on another perspective, grab the opportunity if you have looks. You can deceive in a good taste, believe me!

18. That morning will never be complete without a cup of coffee - Whether it is Starbucks, or Nescafe, or 3-in-1 or even Kopiko Brown Coffee brand, mornings will never be the same without sipping a hot but enticing cup of coffee. For me, I can gulp two cups of coffee because I love it. No wonder, most people stay in Starbucks (Filipinos created the notion of Starbucks as the new Jollibee) for the longest time because they can talk, they can think, they can wander, everything. But a cup of coffee that was made with a heart of your loved one is even better or more expensive than the brands. To make me awake, I drink almost two cups of coffee because, I am addicted!

19. That "KalokaLike" is the best segment of It's Showtime and "Juan for All, All for Juan" is the best segment of Eat Bulaga! - During rainy season break, it was a great time watching two of well-loved noontime shows in Philippine television. I am always waiting for these two greatest segments, the brainstormers have thought of. For It's Showtime, showing yourself to public through impersonating celebrities is their monumental achievement. Though you'll get ashamed or embarrassed from the hosts to the "Madlang People" to the judges, at least you've managed to achieve the looks of your favorite stars or personalities. For Eat Bulaga, if you want to experience laughing, the Jose, Wally and Paolo way, and putting it into a "common tao," that's Bayanihan of 'D Pipol! Especially when they make audience go berserk, the triumvirate of the streets will give surprises and money. Imagine that they give prizes that can sum up to less than P100,000.00. Another was the conversation between Bossing Vic and the trio. It was truly one hilarious afternoon on their location. And yes, bringing back the glory of classic comedic strategies on noontime shows.

20. That the PDAF should be abolished! - Not the pork, which is a food, but the money used for government projects, from the people's taxes we always contribute every pay day. Imagine the billions of pesos used for luxury and all crappy things. Corruption is indeed a joy for the abusive government officials and a drought to us ordinary Filipino taxpayers. Janet Napoles should be put not only to jail but to a prison a la Alcatraz. Jeane Napoles should be considered a true example of a "nouveau-riche" which is a disgusting act. Senators, congressmen and other top official who are using their pork barrel in their "personal" use should not be again elected in the upcoming 2016 elections. Or better yet... It should be abolished! No more further details! How I wish I joined the Million People March last Monday (part of my Week-long Birthday Celebration?) to show my support to my co-taxpayers who wants to know the real issue!

21. That the use of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other social media should be done responsibly, for the nth time! - I still remember an issue on creating a Twitter (parody) account of our institution. On that account, they are tweeting about the norms and cultures in our institution. Not that we know, they were already mentioning names of teachers, students and other people who used to be part of the institution. I just don't understand with their premise. They even said they will never make fun of the faculty, students and other things about the institution but I guess, they forgot it in a jiffy. Lesson from this: be responsible in using social media. We already have lots of social networking media and it can be easily accessed by anyone through their smartphones. Yes, freedom of expression is already waving through the World Wide Web, but again, responsibility is still at the background.

22. That the voice of Anne Curtis is the best - Whether you like it or not, Anne Curtis will sing for us. Anne Curtis will perform to us with her lavish renditions such as Diamonds of Rihanna, Without You by Usher and Tinamaan Ako in her glorifying act. She even toured around the nation via her Annebisyosa Concert, which started last year. And she also toured in other countries also for her Annebisyosa. It was truly her dream coming true, knowing that she always say sorry every time she performs. That's what she wants and we love her, so let her be.

23. That there is really "The Art of Letting Go" and acceptance always comes at last - There were shocking moments of news in which you're not prepared to hear, to see and even to look forward to. Especially a previous moment in which you have never been completing "The Art of Letting Go." You're still not on a perfect shape of letting go, or moving on but a news in which everybody was truly in shocked, made me trembling, shaking, and yes, crying. It's too easy to say but it's not, no questions asked. That's why in the emotional stages according to Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, known as the five stages of grief, denial comes first, followed by anger, then bargaining, depression and the last part is acceptance. And it cannot be done midnight. Part of it is a very long time accepting all things you might not accept at first. Maybe, there will come a time that from your heart, you will truly deal with what really happened. It's their lives so might as well not to delve with them. Again, acceptance always comes at last!

24. That Clarity is indeed a song and not just for dancing - In its literary sense, it is a poem but for music, it is a song. Clarity, at first, might known as a dance song usually played on bars, clubs or discos (2000s, 1990s and 1980s terminologies). The tempo is really fast, the rhythm is too fast to dance but the lyrics of the song is straight-to-the-point. The scenario: this person is a part of your life in which you are so much in love with but since you're not too much important in him/her, he/she becomes useless. But still, you are wanting him/her to come back but again, its useless. Then why if your love considered a wreck, still felt he/she is the one. Then why if your love is a crazy one, still felt he/she is the reason of making it a right one. This song is a bit unclear but the message has a lot!

25. That I am no longer getting younger - There is a joke that if you reach the age of 30, you're no longer part of the calendar but with the BINGO cards. It is alright since the age group nowadays became younger. They have said that 30 is the new 20, and 40 is the new 30. Your age might be 30 but you still look younger like a 20-year-old. Honestly, I felt that I am already old due to stress from work and from other people but I still feel energetic and youthful at my present age of 26. One thing's for sure that I need to do to make my face look young is to embrace optimism and happiness. No need for any creams or vitamin supplement.

26. That love is looking for you and you should not look for love - Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy... (one of the greatest verses from the Bible about love) And I guess, the love has already found the person but the person hasn't found me, yet. I don't know, maybe that person is already there. Just like from the song, "I didn't know I was looking for love, until I found you." I believe someone out there waits for me, my destiny, my soulmate, my soon-to-be. And truthfully, you should not look for love because love will never surrender to you. If you really want to find your true, real love, be patient! Again, love is patient, love is kind.

Less than fifteen minutes from now, my first day of being a 26-year-old is about to finish. Showing appreciation is not enough to those people who appreciates and loves me. But I guess, I don't have any options but to say thank you for the love, support and patience with me.

I've realized that the most important person in my life is truly in love with me, that's God!

Thank you God for another year!!!

I miss saying this at the end of my posts...

Toodles!!!

It's Been Too Long

Just for today, I received my midterm exam grade and I find it not really okay. The question is really, the subject is also really hard but I made my very best to answer the query of my professor. He was right, I was just new and I really did not what the hell I was saying through my paper. It was only graded satisfactorily, so it cleared my mind that I should do something because the next exam would be "make or break!" If not successful (which I do hope it will not happen), I don't know next, maybe flying to another country to work?

It has been too long since I made a writing in my BROUHAHAS, approximately four months since I left my hobby of writing and concentrating much with my new work and new venture in my life. It shook me; it shook my sleeping nerve and I guess it's time for me to move up and it's already happening. I was forcing myself to write but sometimes, I just leave it and will never return to it and continue. Again, I will write something which favors me but again, I couldn't finish it. Something hinders me which I couldn't give a stay in front of my computer to write something.

In a span of four months, a lot of things have happened. Most of them were planned; some of them were surprises. Most of them were taken for granted; some of them were just happened. These happenings were already done which made me realized that a lot of things that come and go.

If I still have chances of writing, I better grab it! But time cannot allow me. The reason is too busy.

Welcome back to me!!!

Noong Grade School Ako...

It has been two decades when I started studying in elementary. Malamang, halos lahat naman ng bata nagsisimula sa pre-elementary then elementary (which is now favorably known as Grade School). Maraming mga bagay ang mararanasan mo at firsts and most of them were truly worth remembering. And of course, you would never forget the teachers that most likely molded and nurtured you with quantity and quality education: moral, emotional, informative at marami pang ibang klaseng aspect. When I graduated in Grade Six in the year 2000, I thought it was only a simple graduation that finally (I even didn't think about it either), tapos na ang elementary and going to next chapter of my student life which is high school. Yun pala ang dami-daming magbabago that you wished na sana hindi ka na lang nag-high school. On those days, we were reminiscing our joyful past starting from Grade One up to our very last days of being Grade Six. Notorious to teachers, bullies to other pupils and students, crushes by him or by her, lahat ng yan mararanasan ng isang elementary student. Fast forward to 2013, I am teaching Grades Three and Four at sa halos araw-araw kong litanya sa loob ng faculty lounge at sa loob ng classroom na may mga students akong abot hanggang langit ang inis at galit ko dahil napakakulit, napakatamad at napaka-irresponsible, nagre-rewind sa akin ang aking elementary days. Then a question pops up on my mind, "naging ganyan rin ba ako or naging ganyan ba kami ng mga kaklase ko noong elementary ako?"

This blog post is about reminiscing my happiest and darkest past of my beautiful grade school years. Ang sarap lang balikan ang mga dati kong ginagawa na nakakatawa, nakakahiya, nakakalungkot at nakakaiyak na mga experiences ko with my teachers, classmates, schoolmates and the school itself. Thankful ako, sobrang-sobra, sa aking alma mater na Saint Francis School (now known as San Francisco de Sales School) for nurturing my fruitful six grade school years with so much knowledge and experiences that will surely last a lifetime. I'm going to find out if the things I have done before is as same as what my students and the other students are doing now. It could be better or it could be worse.

KULIT BATA - If I am too much irritated with those pesky children inside my classroom, I became also the favorite of my teacher when it comes to being scolded and reprimanded. Turns out, at 12 years old, pinagalitan pa rin ako. I could not compare my naughty bits to my students.

We were getting our scores and out of 10 to 15 assignments, less than 5 lang ang nagawa ko. Ayun, napagalitan na ako at the same time, pinakuha ang diary ko at nagsulat ng love letter to my parents ang aking adviser. Well, wala na akong magagawa, I need to face the consequences. May tatlo akong palo sa likod ng sinturon and the following day, my mother and my sister came to school to talk to my adviser. Noong Grade Five naman ako, nagkaroon kami ng family reunion sa isang resort sa Cavite and we had an overnight stay there. Pag-uwi ko sa bahay, tinawagan ko ang classmate ko to tell what we did in our vacation. Natapos ko naman siya but not in a beautiful manner. And kids, hindi maganda yun. How can you satisfy yourself with good grades if laziness comes with it?

ACHIEVER - Hindi sa pagmamayabang but naging achiever rin naman ako sa class (in my own right, haha!). Starting from Grade One to Grade Six, hindi ako nawala sa Star Section. I could also say that my grades are all good, I never had less than 85 as my grade (except MAPE and HELE, hehehe!). Noong Grade Four ako, naging achiever ako noong First Quarter, and as Top 8. First Placer, at nawala ulit noong Fourth Quarter. I am not consistent, that's true! Umiiyak pa ako sa best friend ko noon over the phone dahil siya, Top 2, ako wala ni isang place sa honor roll. Speaking of First Placer sa Quiz Bee, sa tatlong subjects ako nanalo: Spelling, HEKASI and Science. Lahat talaga ng bata, lalo na't you have something to be proud of, ganyan ang pasttime, ang magyabangan ng scores at grades. In our own little way, we are achievers!

TEACHER'S FAVORITE - I also became teacher's pet or teacher's bet or teacher's favorite: favorite pagalitan, favorite utusan at favorite pahiyain sa klase. If I became too rowdy, papaupuin niya ako sa pinakalikod malapit sa teacher's table. I remember my Mom went to the school to talk to my teacher para lang palipatin ulit ako sa harapan dahil pinagpe-piyestahan ako ng mga lamok sa likod ng aming classroom. Naging instant katulong niya ako that every time she needs something to eat, she will ask me to go to the canteen and buy her food. Mayroon siyang tawag sa akin (which I don't like to share it) so my classmates would have a good laugh against me. Regardless na tawagin ka mang teacher's pet or "sipsip" sa teacher, mas maganda if you're doing your work properly.

BEST FRIEND, BARKADA AND BULLIES - Lahat ng mga Grade Schoolers, naranasan magkaroon ng instant best friend (na may contract at gestures), barkada (having time with friends or one thing in common) and the dreadful bullies (tagging names, kukunin ang baon, biglaang pagti-tripan) at ako dahil naging Grade Schooler ako, naranasan ko yan. In everything that we do, magkasundong-magkasundo kami. There was a time na nag-away kami niyan, Grade 6 dahil biniro ko lang siya. Marami rin kaming common things that we love like slumbooks (or autograph), daily cake (Cupp Keyk na Mocha flavor, Choco Choco, and chocolate candies which I forgot the brand), Ikaw Lamang of Jaya and Janno Gibbs, and yung Grade Five na student (haha!). And of course, nagkaayos din. It is too hard to tell if you can create your own circle of friends at an early start but for me, nagkakaroon lang ako ng barkada kung may pare-pareho kaming gusto. May kababawan man and not so sturdy ang foundation, we didn't bother! And yes, if you have been a victim of bully, I was also became one. When in Grade One, na-bully ako ng mga kaklase ko. We were in first row and the four of them didn't talk to me for I really do not know the real reason. I was also bullied with some of my classmates in Grade Three by getting my food. I was bullied by some of my batchmates in Grade Four though hindi ko naman pinapansin dahil hindi ko naman sila kilala. And yes, I was also being bullied by some lower Grade Schoolers (nakakahiya man) and because of that, nagiging too emotional ako because of the words they were saying about me. All of those things about socializing with other kids may have certain issues: to gain friends, to lose friends and to be a victim of bullies.

THE TEACHERS - Teachers are considered the second parent of the children. After their homes, school is a place that a child can go and stay for almost half of their daily schedules. And the person responsible for them are the teachers. My teachers in Grade School were really memorable to me. I only realized just for today that siguro galit na galit siya sa akin that's why hindi niya ako binigyan ng loot bag! Pero she's one of the most beautiful teachers in St. Francis before. Mrs. Mendoza was my adviser in Grade Three and siya ang teacher ko na ginagawa akong utusan. Well, I like it because it's a sort of being favorite. I remember the time she was talking to my Mom. When she saw my Mom, aba'y ang sabi ay, "Good morning, Mrs. Balota, the mother of my favorite student!" Nakakahiya man pero nilunok ko na lang. Mrs. Cabilar was my adviser in Grade Four and Six and she was known in our school as the "matapang" na teacher. I remember one time, I was just walking around our school when I saw her calling a student, and then "blaagaag!" Well, may kakulitang taglay siguro ang bata so he deserved it. Not only them, I also had other teachers na favorite ko rin like Ms. Villaflor, Ms. Ingua, Ms. Orijuela, Mr. Marfil, and so many more. I wonder kung nasaan na silang lahat. Are they also looking at my pictures that now I am also like them?

Those were the days that I'm still young and did not know the things I was doing. As a teacher in Grade School, you deal quickly with the lessons because the kids are eager to listen and learn but hard to discipline since they're kids, basically. Though I had problems before that I've faced, somehow I've outgrown it and still learning some things from it. And the sweetness of the kids, it's really irresistible! Talagang mapapayuko ka at mapapatiklop ka sa kanila that even though you're always getting angry at them, they still love you back. Revenge is somehow sweeter in Grade School because a student that you've got angry with will never think of bad things against you; rather they will say they're utmost apologies. Those were the things I would surely miss when I enter the next chapter of my teaching career.

Few days, I'll be leaving the premises of Grade School as I am now challenging myself in the world of High School. New and more matured students, higher level of learning and so much more. I don't know what's going to happen to me and to my students but I know that God put me in this because He knows that I can do it! I will do everything and anything for the sake of the kids and also to myself!

And also, most of my high school students became my students before, so I guess there's no problem with it (well, almost?).

Toodles!

2 Years of Writing Anything

I may not have a very formal training in writing but having more than 17,000 views makes my writing hobby interesting. And yes, my Brouhahas has been two years in the Internet world, giving a hearty laugh to you and an interesting stories to tell. Honestly speaking, I really do not know what to write. I cannot also give you the things that you should do to maintain this kind of blog. I do not have enough followers and I do not even know if those viewers are really reading my posts (hehehe). But I do believe in my talent, of course who couldn't agree more but myself!

I just wanted to thank my friends who always uplift my spirit in reading my posts. Though most of it has lots of grammar lapses and incomprehensible utters, it doesn't matter since I am maintaining a semi-formal (if there's such?) kind of blog. My friends whom I made my piece, my study, my topic and my idea to all of my writings here. I don't know if they really liked it; it is just that I wanted to share to the whole world how much I love them! Though I'm not really confident to share what my family is, I will make sure to make a full blast about them.

To some of the websites and other references I am using for some of my posts, thank you for somehow lending your thoughts and ideas to my blog. I am afraid too much with what we have right now as plagiarism ek-ek but of course, I am using your references with consent or permission. Without these things, my posts would not be readable and somehow interesting to read.

And of course, to all of my readers. Call me a very hands-on to my blogsite, I am always looking to the stats of my views. And it really touches my heart every time it makes the views worth a hundred to a thousand! I still remember the first years of my blog, I am wishing to have at most 2,500 views before my birthday of 2011. It didn't pursue but why should I if day-by-day, the views add up! And if the views of my posts boost up to more than 50 views, it makes me a bit proud of myself.

I just don't know but I am just thankful! Two years of writing anything is a mixture of joy and experience. I feel the joyfulness every time I publish one post to my blog. I don't know if the people will like it or not, it is what I really love the most. I learn some much from experience. Though most of my posts are about the things I had, it brings me too many lessons.

God, thank You for the gift of writing. I may need more kind of training in the near future or whatever, I promise that every piece of work of mine is always for You!

Thank you guys for making my blog worth reading!!!

Nevermind Me

What is the game we're playing?
Should I stick around for more?
Snap your fingers, I'll coming running
Leave again when you're bored with me
I'll make it easy

Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just cast shadows on your walls
Nevermind me, nevermind me
My God I feel so small
Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just cast shadows on your walls
Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just let myself out

This facade that I'm stuck with
Has got me wondering
Just tell me how you want me
And I'll be naked stumbling
Just to get a reaction, any signs of love

Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just cast shadows on your walls
Nevermind me, nevermind me
My God I feel so small
Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just cast shadows on your walls
Nevermind me, nevermind me

Bottle up your smile
And pour it in a cup
I'll be on my way
Once I've sobered up

Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just cast shadows on your walls
Nevermind me, nevermind me

Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just cast shadows on your walls
Nevermind me, nevermind me

Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just cast shadows on your walls
Nevermind me, nevermind me
My God I feel so small
Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll just cast shadows on your walls
Nevermind me, nevermind me
I'll let myself out

A Friendly Letter for Julie Girl

28 February 2013

To my dearest kapatid Julie Girl,

                          Greetings!

How are you na, kapatid? Long time no hear ha! I know it's going to be very happy! Hay! This letter is not only about asking how are you, but a lot of things to be thankful to you! At alam mo yan!

First thing I would like to thank you sa pagiging shock absorber ko, especially last year. Salamat dahil pinagalitan mo ako and at the same time, you made yourself an eye-opener to me. Alam mo kapatid, kahit alam kong puwede pa, or kaya pa, I would always think of what you told me. Ayun, in fairness naman sa akin, naka-move on na ako. Of course you would remember ang mga katagang "at least alam ko na madali akong maka-move on." If you can still remember noong hindi ako napag-bigyan sa gusto kong mangyari sa akin for this year pero as usual, waley nga. And another thing sa isang recent issue sa akin na hindi naman dapat maging issue. I just became too emotional and too intimidated kasi pero you made my hopes too near. Ipinakita mo sa akin na dapat realistic din ako, and now kung hindi man or kung oo man, why not! Basta go for green pa rin, pero why not for yellow pero green pa rin at alam mo yan! I just don't know pero every time na may problem ko, you are one of the first people I can go to without hesitation. Siguro kasi sa sobrang pagka-straightforward mo kaya tuloy pakiramdam ko, refreshed and replenished ako kapag pinagsasabihan mo ako na parang subordinate, anak or someone na maliit na hindi alam ang ginagawa. Ganoon ang peg nating dalawa and I'm so thankful for that!

I am also thankful dahil finally magsasama na tayo sa iisang bubong. I don't want to bring out more dahil magkaka-idea ang ilan pero good thing na rin dahil ba-bonding tayo ng bonggang-bongga.

I can't wait for our travels, gala and all. I always wanted to go to other places or other countries together with you guys. I can't wait for our very first Visita Iglesia 2013 this March 25th at alam mo na kung paano ang hatian natin sa food at sa parking fee. Tama nga, travels could be our most luxurious treat in our friendship and mangyayari yan the soonest. Saan ba ang gusto natin? Sabi ni Tarrosing sa London raw. Sabi ni Ms. A sa Thailand or sa Singapore. Ah basta, gusto kong mag-Hong Kong. Basta may pera.

Marami ring salamat dahil parang nagmumukha kang sunud-sunuran sa mga damit na gusto kong isuot mo if there's a formal gathering that you'll attend to. For two years, Theres and yourself are two of my trusted clienteles on how you will look good in any aspect. Sinugod natin ang bawat sulok ng 168 Shopping Mall ng Divisoria just to get what I wanted for you.

Well, I am just suggesting but the thing is, you're taking my suggestions too seriously. Hahahaha! Looking forward for the next royal gala or royal gathering.

And siyempre, thank you for bringing us Julli Summer to our lives. I can't wait for her 500 days.

Good thing, you're taking it seriously but sunny.

Nakikita ko how much your kids love you, by simply calling you Mommy J or Nay J. Kahit si Summerita, alam ko na mamahalin ka niyan. Hanggang sa dulo ng walang hanggan, our friendship will surely stay forever! Thank you for accepting me as your weird, crazy and truest friend!

O siya, hanggang dito na lang ang aking friendly letter to you! I love you so much friend! And keep styling!!!

                          Toodles!!!

Respectfully yours,

Zieggy

My Valentine Tribute to The Tug-O-War

Don't Love You No More (I'm Sorry) by Craig David

For all the years that I've known you baby
I can't figure out the reason why lately you've been acting so cold
(Didn't you say)
If there's a problem we should work it out
So why you giving me the cold shoulder now
Like you don't even wanna talk to me girl
(Tell me)
Okay I know I was late again
I made you mad and dinners thrown in (the bin)
But why are you making this thing drag on so long
(I wanna know)
I'm sick and tired of this silly game (silly games)
Don't think that I'm the only one here to blame
It's not me here who's been going round slamming doors

That's when you turned and said to me
I don't care babe who's right or wrong
I just don't love you no more

Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you're gone, my fault, I'm sorry
Feeling like a fool 'cause I let you down
Now it's, too late, to turn it around
I'm sorry for the tears I made you cry
I guess this time it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don't love you no more

I know that I made a few mistakes
But never thought that brings would turn out this way
'Cause I'm missing something now that you're gone
(I see it all clearly)
Me at the door with you in a state (in a state)
Giving my reasons but as you look away
I can see a tear roll down your face
That's when you turned and said to me
I don't care babe who's right or wrong
I just don't love you no more

Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you're gone, my fault, I'm sorry
Feeling like a fool 'cause I let you down
Now it's too late to turn it around
I'm sorry for the tears I made you cry
I guess this time, it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don't love you no more

Those simple words hit so hard
They turned my whole world upside down
Girl, you caught me completely off guard
On that night you said to me
I just don't love you no more

Rain outside my window pouring down
What now, you're gone, my fault, I'm sorry
Feeling like a fool 'cause I let you down
Now it's too late to turn it around
I'm sorry for the tears I made you cry
I guess this time, it really is goodbye
You made it clear when you said
I just don't love you no more

Superhuman by Chris Brown featuring Keri Hilson

Weak

I have been crying and crying for weeks
How'd I survive when I can barely speak
Barely eat
On my knees

But that's the moment you came to me
I don't know what your love has done to me
Think I'm invincible I see
Through the me I used to be

You changed my whole life
Don't know what you're doing to me with your love
I'm feeling all superhuman
You did that to me
Superhuman heart beats in me
Nothing can stop me here with you, superhuman
Superhuman
Superhuman
Superhuman

Strong
Since I've been flying and righting the wrongs
Feels almost like I had it all along
I can see tomorrow
But every problem is gone because
I flew everywhere with love inside of me
It's unbelievable to see
How love could set me free

You changed my whole life
Don't know what you're doing to me with your love
I'm feeling all superhuman
You did that to me
Superhuman heart beats in me
Nothing can stop me here with you, superhuman
Superhuman
Superhuman
Superhuman

It's not a bird, not a plane
It's my heart and it's gonna go away
My only weakness is you
Only reason is you
Every minute with you I feel like I can do
Anything

Going, going, I'm going away
In love

You changed my whole life
Don't know what you're doing to me with your love
I'm feeling all superhuman
You did that to me
Superhuman heart beats in me
Nothing can stop me here with you, superhuman
Superhuman
Superhuman

T-Shirt by Shontelle

Try'na decide try'na decide

If I really wanna go out tonight
I never used to go out without ya
Not sure I remember how ta

Gonna be late gonna be late
But all my girls don't have to wait 'cause
I don't know if I like my outfit
I tried everything in my closet

Nothin' feels right when I'm not with you
Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos
Takin' them off 'cause I feel a fool
Try'na dress up when I'm missin' you
Im'ma step out of this lingerie
Curl up in a ball with something Hanes
In bed I lay
With nothing but your T-shirt on
With nothing but your T-shirt on

Gotta be strong gotta be strong
But I'm really hurtin' now that you're gone
I thought maybe I'd do some shopping
But I couldn't get past the door and
Now I don't know now I don't know
If I'm ever really gonna let you go
And I couldn't even leave my apartment
I'm stripped down, torn up about it

Nothin' feels right when I'm not with you
Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos
Takin' them off 'cause I feel a fool
Try'na dress up when I'm missin' you
Im'ma step out of this lingerie
Curl up in a ball with something Hanes
In bed I lay
With nothing but your T-shirt on
With nothing but your T-shirt on
With nothing but your T-shirt on
('Cause I miss you, 'Cause I miss you)
With nothing but your T-shirt on
(Said I miss you, baby)

Try'na decide try'na decide
If I really wanna go out tonight

And I couldn't even leave my apartment
I'm stripped down, torn up about it

Nothin' feels right when I'm not with you
Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos
Takin' them off 'cause I feel a fool
Try'na dress up when I'm missin' you
Im'ma step out of this lingerie
Curl up in a ball with something Hanes
In bed I lay

Nothin' feels right when I'm not with you
Sick of this dress and these Jimmy Choos
Takin' them off 'cause I feel a fool
Try'na dress up when I'm missin' you
('Cause I miss you)
Im'ma step out of this lingerie
Curl up in a ball with something Hanes
(Promise if you do)
In bed I lay
(I would be in bed)

With nothing but your T-shirt on
Said I got nothing but your T-shirt on
'Cause I wanna be close to you
I remember when you would like to see me
With nothing but your T-shirt on

Nothing but your T-shirt on
Let me tell you no
Nothing but your T-shirt on

Halo by Beyonce

Remember those walls I built?

Well, baby, they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make a sound
I found a way to let you in
But, I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now

It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
It's the risk that I'm taking
I ain't never gonna shut you out!

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby, I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby, I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade awat

I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo, halo
I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo...
Halo... Ooh...

Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want
Think I'm addicted to your light
I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
Gravity can't begin
To pull me back to the ground again

It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
It's the risk that I'm taking
I'm never gonna shut you out

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby, I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby, I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo, halo
I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo...
Halo... Ooh...

I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo, halo
I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo...
Halo... Ooh...

Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby, I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby, I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away

I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo, halo
I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo...
Halo... Ooh...

I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo, halo
I can feel your halo, halo, halo
I can see your halo, halo...
Halo... Ooh...

Lego House by Ed Sheeran

I'm gonna pick up the pieces

And build a Lego house
If things go wrong we can knock it down

My three words have two meanings
There's one thing on my mind
It's all for you

And it's dark in a cold December
But I've got you to keep me warm
If you're broken I will mend you
And I'll keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on

I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done
I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind
I'll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I've done
I think I love you better now

I'm gonna paint you by numbers
And color you in
If things go right we can frame it
And put you on a wall

And it's so hard to say it
But I've been here before
Now I'll surrender up my heart
And swap it for yours

I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done
I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind
I'll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I've done
I think I love you better now

Don't hold me down
I think my braces are breaking
And it's more than I can take

And it's dark in a cold December
But I've got you to keep me warm
If you're broken I will mend you
And I'll keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on

I'm out of touch, I'm out of love
I'll pick you up when you're getting down
And out of all these things I've done
I think I love you better now
I'm out of sight, I'm out of mind
I'll do it all for you in time
And out of all these things I've done
I think I love you better now
