12 Days of Semester Break

Day one of my twelve days of semester break, and I could say that I am so exhausted and at the same time, shopaholic for today. For me, it was not really considered a semester break because I went to our institution to celebrate the field trip of the whole grade school department, together with CASA. For others, it is already their vacation, but for us, though it is not part of a regular class, still, we need to go to school.

I got up at exactly 4:30 in the morning because I am scared not to be able to go early. And I really need to go early so that I could do the numbers I forgot to put glue on. The teachers are already coming and some students are also waiting for their classmates and the bus that we will use. We got in at our tourist bus at exactly 7:30 in the morning, one-hour late as what we expected. Before that, I got my head fired up because my student Hasan talks and even acts like a grade one student. I got so irritated I'm not talking to him. And for the whole day I got really disappointed with my section. I don't understand them, seems I am handling a very nonsensical grade one or grade two class. Anyways enough of sourgraping *good thing I'll be going back to SpEd on November 8, but I don't know if that's good or not?*

First, we went to Rizal Park and I've seen a new dimension of this huge place. We went to see the martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal and we were all amazed by how good the lecturer is. He explained to us grandiosely the trial, the final walk and the execution of Dr. Jose Rizal in Bagumbayan, which is now known as Luneta or Rizal Park. I got a new information regarding the shooters of Dr. Jose Rizal; that is they were all Filipinos. But the soldiers behind them were Spanish and if they fail to execute Dr. Jose Rizal by not shooting them, they would be receiving the shot from the Spanish soldiers that stayed behind them. Interesting enough! After the lecturer said the words "preparen," "apunten," and "fuego," we were surprised that a fake sound of a shot was heard from the guns itself. Cool, isn't it!

Afterwards, we went to the monument of the great hero, but only a glimpse because we need to go ahead to CCP Complex for our next itinerary, which is A Touch of Aura, just inside of the former Boom na Boom. We understood the different things related to light. We've also learned how such animals like sharks, cats and dogs, insects, and birds look by their eyes. Interesting enough and truly magical. We went to see shadow play, black theater and laser light show which was turned into a party place. Of course, none of us can't be as wild as animals because a lot of eyes are all somewhere. Indeed, our stay in A Touch of Aura is truly touching.

We went back to our buses to take a nap, and eat our lunches. We went straight to Davao Crocodile Park, also within the vicinity of Boom na Boom. Again, I got really angry with my students because they don't know how to follow. Again, enough of so much stress, if only I could let them by themselves but I can't. Finally, we're now watching a bird show courtesy of that very good announcer. We saw a hornbill, an eagle, a cuckatoo, a parrot and a lot. We've also seen an albino snake, courtesy of Teacher Normie and of course, how could we not see the crocodiles. They were really wild and so many that I almost puke. There was an incident, also in that place, that the person who does the tricks accidentally fell down to the pool of crocodiles, and almost got him. Luckily, he was alive and saved by some people.

That was the time I felt really tired and exhausted. I wasn't able to eat good because I forgot to bring food. I don't want to venture anymore with Kit Kat because it made me into a not-so-good situation last year. And I noticed myself that I am so quiet, and just listening to some songs I have on my phone. And also, I am not interested with the places that's why I bound to become a very peaceful and quiet person. I was even sleeping for the whole travel time.

We went back to our institution at exactly 3:00 pm but we need to wait for the fetchers of our kids. So I waited for about 1 hour just to wait for them to go home. After so, I went to St. Jude for my first novena for Christmas. It was so special because it is the last day of their fiesta novena mass, and at the same time, huge amount of devotees have been there to support. While I was going home, I saw my kapatid Juanito together with his friends going to pray and hear the mass. I went to SM Manila to buy stuffs like shirt and a gift for the event on Saturday.

First day down, eleven days to go... How I wish I could have the best sembreak? Baguio, when can I come to you?

Toodles!!!
