Day three of my semester break and the whole day today, I was not staying at home. I woke up really late, like 7:30 am because I slept late, too. I thought it was Sunday because the songs being played in the radio are all classics, and it made me realize it was really Sunday. I was going to the baptism of my friend's daughter, Ma. Anika Jamielle Bangis-Santiago and the whole gang is there (well, not including Juanito, Sir Phil and Lillypuut!). I was late because I woke up late, and most of my friends who would be my passengers were all present at our meeting place, which is ATC. Luckily, we were able to arrive at the church 15 minutes before the call time.
The church is very beautiful and simple, very serene and at the same time very special. Special indeed because we were the only one who had a chance to have a baptism. Nowadays, baptisms can be done in bulk (just like in orders) and it is really hard for a certain parent to have the baptism. My nieces and nephews had that as a baptism celebration and it is not really good. It started with a seminar, telling us the importance of the sacrament of baptism. And also, some teachings from Jesus Christ also about the sacrament. After so, we've seen the priest and, according to Miss A, he was a Pakistani-ordained priest. Of course, we couldn't let ourselves not to make fun of him. I called him "Punjabi," and Kenneth called him "nagpapaiyak!" Sorry, Father!
We went straight to the reception at the Augustus Hall, inside of the village of Miss A. We had a hearty lunch, with videos and photos and so much more. We gave our gifts, symbolizing our love to Annika. And when we say gifts, there's also pakimkim. Miss A, Kuya FJ and Annika are really a good family! We stayed there until 1:00 pm because we needed to go to the next destination, which is Newport City in Pasay.
I didn't tell to my parents that we need to go to Newport City just to watch Praybeyt Benjamin. We weren't able to watch it because: (1) we were late (2) the parking in Newport City is really hard, and (3) I don't like the place. We were able to arrive at the place ten minutes before 2:00 in the afternoon. We used Skyway to make our lives easier, but we weren't able to make it. I could say that Newport Mall is grand and luxurious, but it made me a bit smaller in terms of financial stability (hehehe). I can't take the high-profile society of some people getting inside of the mall. We've seen such brands like Bulgari, Montblanc, Kate Spade, DKNY, Charriol, Cartier, in which most of the people cannot afford. We've also seen the main attraction of the place, which is their casino. We went upstairs, and we've seen restaurants that is new to our ears. There's McDonalds, Sizzlin' Pepper Steak, my favorite Kopi Roti, Starbucks and so much more, but still, I don't like the ambiance. We've seen Republiq, and my goodness, I can't really take it. All I want to see is the Newport Cinema, in which they told me, one of the best cinemas in the country today. But, since we're late, we can't have to watch the film Praybeyt Benjamin.
Because of our disappointment, we just went to SM Mall of Asia to eat at Slammers Burgers. We met our friends Juanito and Christopher, together with her girlfriend Julie. We just hanged-out, talked about our own lives and thought of watching sunset at the Manila Bay. The whole day was good, but in the end day, it didn't turn out good. All I want is to watch Praybeyt Benjamin.
I was being scolded by my father because why did I only got P300 worth of gasoline in our car. I was really disappointed at first, then turned apologetic in the next. I didn't put the receipts of Skyway and the gasoline at the trash bin so that no evidences can be seen. But, it is really too late. I just ended my third day watching PBB Unlimited. That's hot and awesome!!!
Third day finished, nine days to go before another work week starts!
Thanks Julie Girl for telling me that! I really should enjoy the moment and be happy!!!
Toodles!!!
Welcome to the Christian world, Ma. Anika Jamielle Bangis-Santiago!!!
