I Am Yours and Other Brouhahas!!!

Greetings, mates!!!

Yesterday, October 14, 2011 (I need to elaborate the date because my blog's date is absurd), our institution had an inspiring and soul-stirring contest interpreting some worship songs to God and to Jesus. It was entitled, "Shine Jesus Shine, An Interpretative Dance Contest for Jesus." It was started in 2009, my first year of teaching, and it was staged pretty successful. Now, after a one-year hiatus, the glory of dancing for Jesus came back and even better!

Each time I listen to some Christian songs, because of my special brother, I really feel that I am part of a worship concert of either Don Moen or the world-renowned Hillsong by Darlene Zschech. The lyrics of these songs are all about Him and when you even sing it, it is got to be the greatest praise that you have ever done! Sometimes, if you are too emotional, you tend to shed some tears telling how much you love Him. As of this writing and right after this, I'm listening to the song Who Am I by the Casting Crowns, and I'll be putting this on my blogsite. Yesterday, it was used as the song to be interpreted by the class of my good friend, Miss Arlene, and they gave justice to it. Of course, they won, no doubt about it.

Aside from the contest, numerous things have happened this week in which, I am highly giving this all to Him. Though some of them are not really nice, still I know that God gave me that incident to open my eyes to reality.

DISCIPLINE PROBLEMS - This is what I really hate, getting angry and becoming of an evil person to some kids. I am making them hate me but I can't take it. I am thinking of changing paths because I know myself that I can teach well, even better than I expected but in spite of it, my anger goes up high. Maybe I need an anger management seminar just to get rid of my quick-temperamental attitude. Grrr!!!

BOX OFFICE HIT - I am so happy because my favorite movie, as of this writing, No Other Woman became the Philippines' top grossing film, surpassing You Changed My Life in 2009. Last October 11, it reached an amount of whopping P210 million pesos. I told myself that if my topak reached my head, I'm sure I'm going to watch it again! The story is not as grand as what we used to watch from some Hollywood movies; it even doesn't have any special or visual effects. The lines that the characters of my love Anne Curtis, my idol Cristine Reyes, Carmi Martin and of course, Derek Ramsay did it all, thanks to the pool of writers! Congratulations for a job well done!

SEMBREAK - I am so excited for our semester break because I will not feel its presence. I need to finish everything from my job in SPED and my job in the Grade School. I understand why Sir Jie, whenever he sees me, telling me this "ikaw na ang may double department!" And the idea is not really good because of jam-packed paperworks from this department to that department! I was thinking of celebrating the semester break by going to Baguio but I think, I can't! I don't even know if I can come back to my original department even though I already said my piece! I am still not sure with everything, but still, I am excited with the semester break, even though... Hehehe!

BUDOY - What a great character ABS CBN has created for us, their audience! It is a different kind of character, portrayed by Gerald Anderson, in which he is a special child. I've seen so many actors who characterized themselves as special child, most noticeably with Aga Muhlach in his movie with Christopher de Leon and Vilma Santos, titled Nag-iisang Bituin. He did his best there and his portrayal of an Autistic child was really believable. Maja Salvador did a great job, also as an Autistic child, in one of the episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya, again with Vilma Santos. Her character there sadly died because of a disease but everybody remembers that! The Thursday's episode of Budoy was a moving one, probably most of its audience shed tears because of the lines that Janice de Belen blurted out to the people. Most of the people in their place poke and play Budoy in a bad taste. Budoy had an incident of arson and the people are wanting him to be arrested. Elena (Janice's character) came to the scene and she said what she wanted with a volume of her anger. "Inano ba niya kayo? Sinaktan ba niya kayo? Minura ba niya kayo?" Really moving lines that I remember every time my brother was being poked by other people. We can't stop those people but I know that they are the worst people in the world not understanding these special but gifted kids. And since I am part of the SPED, watching Budoy will make me realize that aside from having a hard time discussing to them lessons, loving them is a guarantee return from them!

DEXTER'S PIZZA - After T. Tere's and my best buddy Sir Andrew's winning point in Shine, Jesus Shine contest, we celebrated it by eating at one of the newest place inside of BF Homes. Dexter's Pizza opened their doorsteps this week and they have so much tasty flavors of pizza. And it is also affordable for those who don't want much pricey pizza. We tried two flavors, Spanish Sardines and the Shawarma, as their best seller. Aside from that, we even had our own version of the photo shoot, courtesy of the owner. I really loved the pizza, the photo shoot, the place, everything that is Dexter's Pizza!

Let me share with you the lines of my favorite Christian song, which inspires me to move forward

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I’m calling
Lord, You catch me when I’m falling
And You’ve told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

Not because of who I am
But because of what You’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I’m calling
Lord, You catch me when I’m falling
And You’ve told me who I am
I am Yours

Not because of who I am
But because of what You’ve done
Not because of what I’ve done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I’m calling
Lord, You catch me when I’m falling
And You’ve told me who I am
I am Yours

I am Yours

Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
‘Cause I am Yours
I am Yours

I am Yours God!!!

Toodles!!! ☺☺☺
