12 Days of Semester Break

Day seven of my semester break and today, I did nothing very special and productive! I was about to check all of the projects of my students but nothing happened. Today is also my first day of my Christmas novena for Our Mother of Perpetual Help, and luckily I was able to make it for the 4:00 pm novena.

Earlier than today, I said to myself that I'll return to my institution to check all of the pending cases, uhm, I mean, pending projects from my students. It was today, November 2 but it did not turn out well, because somebody from our school locked the door of our faculty lounge. I was about to unwind and thinking of some good things about everything. Nevertheless, the door is locked; I can't go inside! Hmmp!

I decided to return on Friday, November 4 to finish almost everything, from start to finish, for the benefits of the kids, and of course, their grades in English and HELE! Since, I haven't done what I want to happen, I decided to go to Baclaran to seek help to Our Mother of Perpetual Help. It has been a tradition to me to have a novena before my birthday and before Christmastime. Last week, I was about to begin my novena to Her but because of our party with my terrific friends, I wasn't able to pray. I just lit eight candles symbolizing my wish for this Christmas (let it be with me, please!). Now, I happily started the novena. I prayed so serenely and peacefully and wholeheartedly singing all of the songs and praising all of the prayers just for Her! I can't wait to finish it up to the last week of December. I need to acquire nine Wednesdays to make my wish come true, well?

Afterwards, I don't know where to go. I was thinking of taking the LRT and traversing all the way up to the north. But it didn't cross my mind. I said to myself that I'll go to Megamall since I haven't been there for a while, but it was too far. Maybe I could go to Makati, because same with Megamall, I haven't been there for a long time, but what I'm wearing is just a so-so. The greatest decision that I made so far is to go SM Mall of Asia. It is just a drop by from Baclaran, so I went there. While listening to my favorite radio show, Cristy FerMinute, I was window-shopping and thinking of the gifts (same thing that I did yesterday) for my dear loved ones! I went to Mental and I saw the perfect bag for me. I went to Shoe Salon and I saw some of their cute shoes, especially Sperry, Converse, Vans and Puma. I still prefer Vans than Converse. I went to Muji, a Japanese store which has school and office supplies, home supplies, and even clothing. I bet for their shoes and their polo-shirt. It is a bit pricey, but still. I went to Penshoppe just to see if Mario Maurer was already their main man for endorsement, but it is still Ed Westwick from I don't know. I went to Fullybooked to read some books but I didn't see anything good because all of their books are closed and wrapped. I went to Booksale and luckily, I have found a paperback copy of 1984 by George Orwell. This novel was the inspiration of the hit reality show Big Brother worldwide. And yes, I already started reading it and it is actually Big Brother which got the inspiration.

To take my snacks, I sipped coffee and munched two doughnuts from the world-renowned Krispy Kreme. Yes, it is really sinful but I have to excuse myself because I need a break! I ended my stay at MOA at National Bookstore reading about China. I've learned so many things about that huge country, from the time Mao Zedong created a new government called People's Republic of China, about communism to be exact. It is really an enticing topic to be learned, discussed and explained and probably, gave opinions. China was really from nobody, to somebody, to a whole lot more today! I am interested with the Cultural Revolution, Gang of Four, Great Leap Forward and so much more. Maybe after this blog post, I'll be checking the Wikipedia to search about it.

I ended my journey reading 1984. I started reading the afterword but I had a hard time examining it. Stupid of me because I read it without reading the whole content of the novel. I can't wait to finish it! I do hope Ma'am Gabelo is happy for me, reading such classics!

Our Mother of Perpetual Help today, St. Jude Thaddeus tomorrow! And tomorrow is my Kuya Bong's 29th birthday! Time really flies, right!

Seven down, five to go! Oh, I don't know but I'm having a good time with my vacation, even though I didn't go to Baguio! Hehehe, I did talkshit again!

Toodles!!!
