12 Days of Semester Break

Day eight of my semester break and it is about my first date. It is not about a romantic date, even a group date which can lead to a romantic date, but a brotherly date with my special brother Kuya Bong. He is celebrating his 29th birthday today! So to make this day very special, I let him join me to pray the novena for my love, St. Jude Thaddeus.

He is already 29 but his looks is like a teenager. I admit that I look older than him. Well, it is because he doesn't feel any negativity and he doesn't even acquire the word STRESSED! So he is as handsome as a cute little baby boy! He is diagnosed with Autism, since he was three years old and according to my parents, they really had a hard time with discipline, education and all other stuff that requires double amount of strength and hundredfold of patience towards him. Before, I remember him the way he releases his anger towards us. He was becoming of a monster whenever his wants was not able to attain or to favor. We need to ask our dad to go home just to spank him. Afterwards, it will be okay but then, if his tantrums released again, we need to run as fast as we could so he wouldn't able to catch us. Before, it was really a disaster, especially if you have a sibling like them. I've known other kids who are also special like my brother and they were also different. There were some who are much worse than my brother, and there were also some who were less worse. They hardly speak, especially the feelings that they had. They hardly express themselves if they are hungry or thirsty, or full after a meal was served and eaten. With the case of my brother, he is one-hell-of-a-voracious eater, no emotions at all but he has the best talent in music. He is also good with housekeeping and even cooking, too. That;s how I love my brother so much!

We went to St. Jude for the 4:00 pm novena and then we went next to SM City Manila just to eat. We ate at KFC with Creamy Tomato Pasta and Snack Box. Afterwards, we bought four doughnuts from Krispy Kreme, my ultimate favorite. He chose choco doughnut with icing inside while mine is my penultimate favorite, New York Cheesecake. And of course, we did not forget the original glazed doughnuts. I am so happy because he knew how to use the LRT, from the inserting of the magnetic card down to the riding of the LRT. My brother loves to sit near the window because he wants to see everything, and so lovely because he wasn't able to sleep for the entire journey going to our destination and going back to our own home. We went to SM Hypermarket to buy ice cream. He chose Hershey's Milk Chocolate as his favorite ice cream flavor. Afterwards, we went home and ate his handa, which are pancit canton, fried chicken, biko, and ube macapuno roll cake from Goldilocks.

Eight days are now down, four days more. I haven't started my IEPs, progress reports, grading sheets and so much more. And I know that I can finish that in one seating, on Saturday and Sunday.

Toodles!!!
